Chiropractic techniques and philosophies vary greatly between doctors and finding one that you are compatible with can be a struggle. Here are a few quick tips to find who is in your area and how to select the best chiropractor for your needs.
See Who’s Available
Check Directories like spine-health.com to view a list of doctors available in your area. In this example we will be looking for a chiropractor in Columbus, Ohio.
After browsing the available doctors in my area, I selected Columbus Chiropractor Doctor Lee of Riverside Family Chiropractic to further investigate.
Review Their Reviews
After selecting a local chiropractor in your city, type the name of their practice into google and read reviews from previous patients.
I usually check the reviews on at least two sites, for example Google reviews and Yelp as these two seem to have the largest repositories of quality reviews.
As we can see from the reviews, everything looks good and Dr. Lee appears to know his stuff and get results for his patients.
Visit Their Website
Almost all chiropractors will have websites, and some even keep blogs that dispense valuable free advice. It’s a good idea to check out their website and make sure it’s professional and well taken care of as it’s a reflection of how seriously they take their brand and image.
For our example, we’ve selected Riverside Family Chiropractic. After looking through the website, I notice that it is well taken care and that there is a company blog where I can get a glimpse of how the doctor operates and his philosophies.
So everything looks good so far, now it’s time to call and make sure that they are the right fit for your needs. Here are some example questions of what you should be asking
- How many years has the chiropractor been in practice?
- Which chiropractic techniques does the chiropractor use and why?
- How many sessions are typically required to see results?
With the amount of information available online, finding the perfect chiropractor in your area is easier than ever. With a little research and googlefu you’ll be on your way to perfect spinal health in no time!
